Finding the joy in what we CAN do | A note from Brooke
As we all attempt to zig as the world zags, I wanted to share an update about Studio B Portraits. Warning, it's about to get personal.
Just a couple months ago, my family was on mid-winter break in Southern California — cut to my son barreling down the waterslide - whooshing into the pool with an unexpected speed that took him by surprise. Upon hitting the cold water, he began thrashing around, arms flying in fear as he tried to keep his head above water. Since I had come down just seconds before him, I reached out, grabbed his shoulders and said - “Just stand up, son - remember, you can touch the ground” - You see, in his panic - he had forgotten what he knew to be true. Frankly, I can totally relate. Current events of the last weeks had me all kinds of sideways … and then I remembered; I am at my most joy-filled when I am with my family and yours. Finding the joy in taking family pictures with this lovely trio below brought me right back to my happy place - centered - grounded - and standing (…6 feet away of course) Celebrating what we CAN do has become our new normal here at Studio B Portraits and I thought I’d share my favorite ways that we can be of service to you.
BIG “Thank You” to Lash Allure owner and small business rockstar Erin Risenmay for such a sweet afternoon of smiles & snuggles with her boys. Erin & her team have been helping Eastside women wake up beautiful with gorgeous lash extensions for the past 8 years. Her shop is located on Gilman Blvd in Issaquah. Now more than ever, local businesses appreciate our support and I could not recommend this one more!
