Holiday Style Spotlight: Merry & Bright
If we were handing out awards for mamas who double as the most incredible stylists for their Family Portraits, we would have to give a standing ovation to Becky! We have photographed her family for over a decade, and she has hit the mark for festive styling every single time. We’ve been taking notes, and here are a few things we’ve noticed from this styling queen…
01. Color and pattern are your friend! I think it’s easy for many of us to assume that they will make your photos too busy, but if I have learned anything from Becky, it’s that incorporating intentional pops of color and bold patterns can elevate your outfits from basic to magazine worthy.
02. Feeling comfortable can build your confidence! One of the things I love about the Kasel family styling is the way that each family member is dressd to show off their favorite features. As a result, they feel even more confident on set, and it shows! Mini dress for one, flowy floor length for another, and everything in between. We’re obsessed!
03. Mama is NOT saved for last. Ok ladies, listen up because here’s the truth of the matter - you are going to think your family is beautiful no matter what your kids are wearing. But many mamas push themselves to the back burner and wait until everyone else has found their fits before considering their own styling. We want to flip the script! We love the way Becky styled her self to have a superstar moment and be the anchor that ties the rest of her family’s outfits together.
