FAQ: How do I coordinate my family's outfits for our portrait session?

Whether you have a family of fashionistas or a crew that would rather think about anything but style, coordinating the wardrobe aspect of your photo experience can be anything but simple.  That's where we come in to inspire...just consider us your stylists, here to help you every step of the way!

If you're looking to dress to impress while still allowing each family member to represent their individual personalities through their wardrobe selections, consider an upscale casual look.  This popular style is comfortable and contemporary; the entire family will consider it a winning style!

Sometimes you just have to dance it out when the mood is right and your song comes on!  The Hollie ladies know how to let their personalities shine on camera!

PRO TIP 1. Choose two to three colors to form a nice palette, and stick with them!  You can never go wrong with neutrals with a splash of your favorite shade.

PRO TIP 2. Layers are everyone's best friend!  A great way to showcase personality and flattering all around, layers allow a flavor of variety.  Plus, we are huge fan of texture and movement; it photographs beautifully in group shots.

Can we just pause a minute and say that we're ready to adopt ourselves into the Hollie family!?  Not only are they some of the kindest people we've ever met, but their genuine love for each other pulls us right in!

PRO TIP 3. Dressing head to toe allows the greatest variety and flexibility when it comes to posing.  For the ladies, fun accessories such as earrings or scarves are nice touches that add to your outfit (bonus points for painted nails!).  Fellas, easy ways to earn style points include stylish socks or throwing on a watch.
