A Very Studio B Christmas Photoshoot: Behind the Scenes

What does 17 degrees and 5 freezing family members look like in a luxury setting? A very Studio B Christmas photoshoot with the Clark’s of course. Go behind the scenes on our new family pictures adventure. (The snarky captions on each of the shots are the same things I write in our picture albums so we can remember these magic moments heehee)

Holiday Family Portraits on location at the Bravern in Bellevue WA

Each year we do a holiday family portrait… it’s literally the only family tradition where I have “stuck the landing” since becoming a Mom of three. When our oldest went off to college, I guess I didn’t realize that we were about to level up the scheduling difficulty! We had planned for Thanks Giving break to photograph, but cold & flu clobbered that schedule with a quickness. With all of us coming together once again for the December break… this would be our time! (Our time to dabble in hypothermia because…. and I’m quoting myself here — “the light is SO pretty”)

Visual evidence that my babes actually had 5 solid seconds of photoshoot joy! A Christmas miracle or a testament to the true photographic talent of our lead photographer Makayla and assistant Danielle? I’ll let you be the judge.

The Bravern in Bellevue is such a stunning backdrop for a holiday family photoshoot - it is just so lux and holiday-rific. My outfit howerver was made for the studio… the warm, warm studio… not 17 degrees & snow. But anything for the shot right? Could I have crawled any deeper into my his coat here?

So proud of this one… wearing color! Do you have a family member who’s favorite “color” is black… with a shade of grey? Heehee.

Always ready for her close up. Never worried about this one in front of a camera. Thank goodness because her brother and Dad are always wild cards on picture day!

P for professional…. our oldest here is freezing but never let’s you see her sweat. And my middle child on the right is “YES” actively shoving her cold fingers in the front of my dress for warmth (falalala)

My actual happy place in the midst of our cold, snow covered chaos.
